Job Responsibilities 

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and acquire new clients in the airfreight sector. Develop and execute effective strategies for prospecting, lead generation, and client acquisition.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Understand client needs, and tailor airfreight solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and trends within the airfreight industry. Stay updated on the competitive landscape.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of our airfreight services, including transit times, pricing structures, and delivery options, to effectively present solutions to clients.
  • Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with potential clients. Ensure all agreements align with the company’s goals and profitability
    targets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the airfreight operations team to ensure successful service delivery and meet client expectations. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, reports, and forecasts. Regularly communicate progress to the leadership team.
  • Travel: As needed, attend industry events, trade shows, and visit potential clients to establish and maintain relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field. MBA or other
    advanced degrees are advantageous.
  • 1-3 proven experienced for BDE and 5-7 years proven experienced for Sr.
  • BDE in business development and sales within the airfreight or logistics industry.
  • Strong network and relationships in the airfreight sector.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven and motivated to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required
